The Main House @Poets Lodge Daylesford
This was the perfect place for a team retreat. We booked The Main House for a team bonding experience in the country and we were not disappointed. The photos are exactly as it is. A quality colonial home, beautifully restored. Lots of room for everyone to be together, and little cosy spots for quiet chats. Everyone loved their stay, thanks Angeline and Richard we are definitely booking the whole of Poets Lodge for full office function.

Angeline and Richards place is absolutely stunning. We booked last minute and received an instant reply and were greeted by Angeline and her amazing pastry making skills. The space is extremely cosy and is located in the heart of Daylesford. We loved every minute and will be back soon.

What a stay.. The space is amazing and exactly what you'd expect from a little slice of Daylesford. The hosts are fantastic and will have some great recommendations on what to do. The lodge itself is out of a magazine spread and will not disappoint!

Poets Lodge is such a beautiful crafted cottage right in the heart of Daylesford. It feels like you are stepping back in time, yet with a modern and sophisticated touch. It has an amazing kitchen, that makes you want to cook and a very relaxed energy that makes you just want to lounge about. Highly recommended! We will be booking the whole property with the two separate accommodations on our next visit for sure! Angeline was a terrific host as well, she even had baked us a treat on arrival!!

Angeline is a lovely host and very welcoming. She was very accommodating, very quick to respond with any questions and was extremely helpful. The Garden Loft is a fantastic self contained cottage within the grounds of the Poets Lodge. The Loft is very clean, spacious, stylish, calming and had all of the necessities for a comfortable stay. There were lots of nice little touches and the courtyard/outdoor space was very relaxing. The location of the loft is very central and it is within walking distance to everything you need in Daylesford and whilst its on a main street, it is very quiet when you were in the loft. This is definitely the perfect place to stay in Daylesford and we would highly recommend it. See you again soon Angeline :-)

Amazing hospitality as the hosts made time to meet and show us the house and facilities on arrival. The house is fantastic, a beautifully preserved 150 year old timber house -with lots of original wood panelling and floors, all tastefully renovated with modern facilities - central heating etc. and immaculately presented. Its location, not 250 metres from the restaurants and heart of Daylesford, makes for a perfect stay - no need to use the car from arrival to departure. We visited in summer but the winter would be great as there are open log fires - cannot wait to stay here again !

Thank you for your hospitality and showing my daughter and I around on our arrival. The house is fantastic, beautifully preserved and tastefully renovated and for me, who loves books, the library was an added bonus ! My wife's sixtieth birthday was a great success and a happy celebration with all the family, plus significant others, present - some all the way from Montreal Canada. Your amazing accommodation made it all possible ! Thank you.

Delightful and unique space nestled in a beautiful garden in walking distance to everything Daylesford has to offer! Amazingly designed with thoughtful touches! Using the kitchen was a dream and having a open fire while in the upstairs claw foot bath was quite the treat!
Angeline and Richard were splendid hosts - warm, welcoming characters with great local tips - felt like we were staying with friends! Highly recommend!!

My partner and I have stayed in airbnb's all throughout the world and this place is definitely one of the best. The space is unique, relaxing and within walking distance from everything Daylesford has to offer. The fireplace and bath were beautiful and Angeline's special touches were greatly appreciated - the pastry was to die for!
